The Market-Based Management
Institute is a non-profit research and education center
established to advance the understanding and practice of
Market Based Management® (MBM™). MBM refers
to practices used by leaders to continuously discover and
apply the beneficial aspects of the market process within
an organization (using internal markets to guide transactions
between business units, for example, or basing pay on value
creation rather than tenure).
With generous seed funding
from Koch Industries, the Market-Based Management Institute
was established in 2005 to research questions of practical
interest to business leaders pursuing a market-based approach
to their organizations, and to provide education about
MBM to businesspeople, scholars, students, educators, and
community, non-profit, and government leaders. |
